BIOGRAPHY
ANDY GAZAK . . . his unique use of his God-given gifts and talents in singing, music and the performing arts has been described as POWERFUL, BEAUTIFUL, MAJESTIC AND INSPIRING!
Born in Philadelphia in 1952 and raised in New Jersey, music came into Andy's life at the age of 8 when it all began with 5 years of instrumental lessons and several years of choral experience through the elementary and high school grades. After graduating from high school in 1970 and then moving to central Florida to pursue his undergraduate studies in the sciences, two more decisive opportunities came along. First, Andy was in the mass choir that performed on national TV in the Grand Opening of Walt Disney World in October of 1971 and, in conjunction with that, he became a performing member of the Walt Disney World Cast Choir for 3 years. Secondly and most important, the Holy Spirit began convicting and Andy accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior and Lord in 1974. Almost immediately, the Lord seized and redirected the momentum of his life.
After joining the church where he was saved, he auditioned for the church sanctuary choir in the spring of 1975 and became an active member. From that first step, God led the way and opened the doors. During the months to come his music ministry expanded from sanctuary choir to church ensemble, men's quartets, duets and finally soloist. He even met his future wife in that choir in 1976, they were married the following year and God blessed them with a daughter in 1979 and a son in 1984.
Since then, Andy has been an integral part of over 100 choral and dramatic Christian musicals, cantatas and productions. He has had the opportunity to work and appear with many of the best-known individuals in Christian music and has performed on most of the major national Christian television programs. Also, as a recording artist, he has recorded a solo album and has appeared on a number of other releases. As a branch off, he has also appeared in various commercials, television broadcasts and even a full-length TV movie.
Now residing near Charlotte with his wife Dixie, he presently continues his music & solo-concert ministry which began in 1981 and takes him throughout this country. The core of this outreach is focused to families and marriages, an area strongly experienced and witnessed by Andy and Dixie in their own lives of failure, separation, divorce, BUT THEN rebuilding their lives and remarrying each other a second time, as a direct result of the miraculous life changing power of God!
In addition to his solo ministry, more recently Andy has ministered in the position of worship leader/minister of music, and producer/director in various large-scaled, Christian musicals and productions. Presently, he is the Founder and Executive Producer/Director of the currently active, county-wide, outreach ministry called Community Impact Productions. Through the help of churches, businesses and scores of people, funds are raised from the various shows, events and productions that are presented year round to benefit those less fortunate in the local area and beyond.
