Rave reviews and standing ovations by a "full house" were the results to CIP's most recent show performed on the evening of 09/11/09. Our best effort yet, those in attendance were moved, stirred and inspired as, once again, scores of people from various area churches, denominations and backgrounds performed this flag-waving and patriotic presentation! The audience was drawn into the moment as special staging, vintage costumes, drama, historical figures and true heroes of today brought you to a place of remembrance, commemoration and tribute while reflecting on that fateful day eight years ago, that forever changed our nation and the world!
The generosity of the audience also helped by answering the request to bring large amounts of non-perishable food items. The response was wonderful and fulfilled CIP's regular request as we continue to support and help our partners at Cooperative Christian Ministry, this area's humanitarian services providers, with food supplies as well as financial support to help the less fortunate in the community! Bravo...and praise God!
Our most recent presentation, ‘Tis The Season Of JOY, was performed in November of 2008. Over 100 volunteers represented 20 area churches as we wrapped this two-hour, Thanksgiving and Christmas variety-musical around our special guest, Grammy and Dove award winning recording artist, Larnelle Harris, along with featured guest Mindy Damon and our guest hostess, Tonia Bendickson.
Opening with a glimpse into the joys of Thanksgiving, we segued into the many aspects of Christmas and the true joys of the season using a variety of songs, dance, comedy and drama. Then in his usual, glorious and artistic style, Larnelle inspired the audience as he shared in concert. As we concluded, those who attended were entertained and moved, goals were met, funds and food were collected for Cooperative Christian Ministry and lives were changed and we made an impact! ---> Top of Page
Our December 2007 presentation, The Birth of Christmas, included 80 members from 12 churches representing 6 denominations. Beginning with a winter wonderland setting, the audience was immediately drawn in to the spirit of Christmas through dance, music, and drama. Act 2 centered around Ralph Carmichael's musical, "Specially for Shepherds", which transported the audience back to the time of the birth of our Savior.
The elegant and classical elements of the closing act included a tribute to our very special guest, Ralph Carmichael, but most importantly brought glory to God. ---> Top of Page
Allowing 2006 as a year to build and expand CIP, planning began in early 2007 for A Nation Under God. With approximately 100 members from 15 churches representing 9 denominations, we presented a large-scale, patriotic musical celebration in tribute to the American principle of freedom.
Performed in June 2007, this sweeping presentation captivated the spirit and senses as it mixed music, song and drama with multi-media and special effects. Special emphasis was placed on Memorial Day, Flag Day, and the Fourth of July to celebrate and give tribute to the people of our blessed nation, both past and present. ---> Top of Page
On December 17, 2005, over 100 members from 12 churches representing 8 denominations joined together to present A Christmas Gift.
Using a variety of musical and nonmusical elements, the audience was presented with quality entertainment as well as the gospel. The proceeds from ticket sales and a love offering taken during the presentation went to rebuilding efforts in the Gulf Coast Region for the victims of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.
Elements of the presentation involved a mass community choir, an ensemble, soloists, special guests, dancers, actors, comedy, drama, multimedia, and much more. ---> Top of Page
