JOINing CIP
Community Impact Productions is NOT FOR EVERYONE!
It is for those individuals who: are passionate about what they do; can give of themselves; are
not afraid of a challenge; are willing to expand themselves and go beyond their
"perceived"
limits; are available to help an outreach ministry (CIP); have talents, skills and abilities to share
with others; can choose to make a commitment, stick to it and see it through; can work with
"imperfect" people to help make a tangible difference for the less fortunate; want to minister and
be involved in something much bigger than themselves to impact others; are looking for an
exciting opportunity and want to be used in something worthwhile; would like to meet and relate
with others of similar and diverse backgrounds; like to entertain and be
"on stage"; have had
experiences in music, singing and drama; have had experiences in many other
"behind the
scenes" areas; want to have their lives mean more so God can be glorified!
If this is YOU… join CIP NOW!

and let us know of your desire to participate.
Also, you’re invited to stop by any of our rehearsals on Thursday evenings at 7 pm.

What to Expect
The following will give you an overall understanding of what awaits you upon joining CIP!
- Regular prayer for CIP, its leadership, ministry and outreach efforts is requested.
- A regular portion of ALL incoming funds received by CIP is given monthly to
our partners at Cooperative Christian Ministry to help the less fortunate.
- Fill out a Participant Information Sheet plus Liability and Consent forms.
- A positive, excited and expectant demeanor is hoped for from everyone involved in
CIP during all meetings, rehearsals, performances and shows!
- A $15.00 non-refundable participant fee is required upon joining (helps offset costs
for music book, sheet music, CDs, etc.).
- Must be 18 or older to be a part of the CIP Core Choir (youth and children’s vocal
choirs, vocal ensembles, drama groups, dance groups, etc. are established under
separate and different criteria - contact Director for details and/or exceptions).
Movements, physical activity and "show" staging is plentiful in all CIP
presentations and events.
- No audition is needed to join the CIP Core Choir.
- Evaluations are conducted for vocal solos, vocal ensembles, principle dramatic
roles, particular instrumental segments or solos, dance, narratives, etc.
- With our Lord’s guidance, contributing to regular CIP love offerings greatly helps
to offset our normal operating expenses.
- All music must be memorized (we use various methods to make this easy and
obtainable).
- Occasionally, additional expenses can be required from each participant to cover costs
of applicable costumes for specific shows, if needed.
- All participants, either choir, drama, dance or instrumental, are expected to be prompt
and on time to all rehearsals. Everyone is expected to attend a minimum of 80
%
of all scheduled rehearsals. A detailed, advance schedule is provided both as a
handout and on the CIP website.
- All CIP participants are highly encouraged to help the success of each CIP show or
presentation by getting the word out (let people know of upcoming shows in your
immediate and extended family, at church to as many as possible, at work were
applicable, to friends and neighbors), by taking and displaying posters, selling a
minimum of 10 tickets per show to those in your "circle of influence", inviting
others to join and volunteer, etc.
- CIP functions year-round and therefore all participants are highly encouraged to be
involved and perform in all the various events, shows and productions (major
stage productions - every 6 months, CIP presents… An Evening of Joy - every 4
months, occasional CIPIC, periodic "hands-on" events to help people - i.e.
serving meals to the less fortunate).
- Choir participants should weekly review, on their own, their music and rehearsal CDs.
- Drama participants should weekly review, on their own, their scripts and dialogue.
- Dance participants should weekly review, on their own, their choreography.
- Standards of personal conduct within CIP and as a volunteer of CIP must be
maintained, by everyone, at a level of excellence and integrity as Jesus
demonstrated and set forth in His Life and Word (so as to reflect positively to
those that see us, as ambassadors of Christ and representatives of CIP).
- If any questions or discrepancies should arise, the final decision lies solely with the
Executive Producer/Director.
